Product Overview
The SZW-15-12VDC is a 12 Volt DC, 2 way, 1/2" Stainless Steel electric solenoid valve that can be used for liquid, water, gas, diesel fuel and air in a variety of different applications. This two way, N/C valve will remain closed until power is applied and hold open until power is removed. This valve has standard Female NPT ports on both ends. A 12 Volt DC power supply is required for operation, similar to the battery in most vehicles.
The SZW-15-12VDC stainless steel solenoid valve is fitted with a 18 watt DC coil. This DC coil requires DC power to function and will work connected directly to most vehicles 12 Volt DC power. There are two lead wires that can be joined with terminal connectors or directly soldered. These wires are interchangeable as the valve has no polarity, making installation simple. The coil is rated for a 100% duty cycle but not indefinitely.
The Viton seal makes this valve suitable for a wide range of fluids. This valve is rated for temperatures ranging from 15°F up to 250F. It will operate at up to 115 PSI and has no minimum pressure requirements making it a great choice for a gravity fed system. It's mounting is preferred coil up but will work in any position. The stainless steel components are food grade and make it a great choice when working with potable water or other food and beverages.
A pre-filter is always recommended to keep the diaphragm free from debris and the valve functioning properly.
