Product Overview
The RSSM-2-24VDC is a compact Normally Closed 2 way valve with an 1/8” NPT inlet and outlet port. This valve will allow media to flow through the inlet port when powered. When the power is taken away the valve will remain closed and only open when power is reapplied. The seal is made of FKM rubber or commonly known as Viton. This type of seal can handle a wide array of fuels, harsh chemicals as well as media temperatures ranging from 15°F to 250°F. The valve features as solid brass body as well as 24 Volt DC coil. A power source with a minimum of 8 watts is required.
The RSSM-2-24VDC operates within a recommended pressure range of 0-115 PSI. Although there is no minimum pressure requirements this valve is not suitable for gravity feed systems. The orifice is 2 mm and has a .2 Cv value. The operating position is Normally Closed and the valve will only open when it is energized.
It is fast acting and opens in under 1 second when 8 watts of 24V DC power is applied. The coil is IP65 equivalent and resistant to water and dust. The coil features two 5.5” lead wires that can easily be connected to a power source.
The brass body of the valve has ports that are standard FNPT 1/8” inch. The internal components are 316 stainless steel. The valves Viton diaphragm makes it well suited for air, water, fuels, weak acids and many other chemicals.
This particular valve weighs 10 oz. Its measurements are 2.62” tall, 1.60” port to port and 1.20 wide.
