Product Overview

The N4C-EC1 is a 12V DC ½” FNPT electric plastic solenoid valve. This is a two-way valve that is unidirectional, therefore be sure that media only passes into the “In” port and out of the “Out” port without backpressure. Due to its normally closed configuration, the valve is closed without power. In order to open the valve, the valve must be energized and there must be a minimum pressure of 5 psi to fully open the valve due to its pilot operated nature. This makes it unsuitable for a gravity feed application.

This valve is very compact and lightweight. It weighs only 8.7oz and is 3.40” tall, 2.78” long and 2.35” wide.  The 18” lead wires extending from the coil allow for easy connection to your power supply. Only 6 watts of power is necessary to actuate this valve, making it low power. It is also fast acting, having a response time of less than one second.

The electronics of the valve are heavily protected with its NEMA 4 rated enclosure which protects against splashing, ice forming damage, hose-directed water and windblown dust. The valve body is a NORYL GTX830 resin, which is an NSF61 approved plastic. This plastic also allows for high stiffness and great chemical and heat resistance with low water absorption.
