Product Overview

The SZW-20-12VDC is a 12 Volt DC, 3/4” Stainless Steel Solenoid Valve. This valve is food grade as well as compatible with a variety of media such as air, water, gas, diesel fuel, weak acids and glycol. It is suitable for temperatures from 15°F up to 250°F. Its normal position is closed meaning it will not open until it is powered and will close when the power is removed. The valve has standard 3/4” female NPT input and output ports. To operate this valve requires 18 watts from a DC power source typical to that of a car battery.

The SZW-20-12VDC valve includes a 12 Volt DC powered coil that has a voltage tolerance of +/- 10%. This valve requires 18 watts of DC power to open and close under pressure. The valve is gravity feed capable and requires no differential pressure to operate. Simply apply power and it will open and remove power for it to close. The pressure applied should not exceed the recommendation of 115 psi.

There is an arrow on the valves body demonstrating the direction of flow. Coil up is the preferred mounting position, however it can be installed in any position if necessary. The coil is covered and weather resistant but should never be submerged as it will cause damage to the unit. The compact design of this general purpose valves allows it to be installed in tight spaces while without compromising quality and integrity.

Where applicable a pre-filter is recommended to ensure debris do not prevent the diaphragm from properly sealing.

*Consult a chemical compatibility expert for correct seal and valve body material choice.
