Product Overview

This is a normally open, 1-1/2” 24V DC brass solenoid valve. There is no required minimum pressure, making this great choice for gravity feed operations. It is rated up to 90 psi and has a temperature range of 15 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Since the valve is normally open, it is ‘open’ without power and ‘closed’ while being powered.

Fluids should have a viscosity below 20 cst for proper valve function. The Cv value of the valve is 29 (used to calculate flow rate) and it has a 40mm orifice. The internal components are stainless steel with a Viton seal. Compatible media include air, gas, water, gases and weak acids as well as Freon. Common uses for these valves include Plumbing, HVAC, Solar Heating, Irrigation, Beer Brewing and Industrial Applications.

This valve offer limited protection against dust ingress as well as protection against splash water with its IP54 electrical enclosure rating. This valve requires 40W of power to function. While these valves are splash resistant, they are not submersible. The solenoid coil has no polarity, therefore the lead wires are interchangeable.

A pre-filter is recommended to avoid any build up inside the orifice of the valve. Since the valve is unidirectional, media should only flow in the direction of the valve body arrow.
