Product Overview

The 1-1/2” Brass 24 Volt AC Solenoid Valve is one of our larger brass valves we stock. This is a 2 Way solenoid valve in a Normally Closed position. This means the valve has an entry and exit port and remains closed until its powered. The valve will only stay open while power is applied and remains closed when no power is given. This solenoid valve uses a Viton seal and is capable of handling various media types such as air, water, gas, diesel fuel, weak acids and many more. The valve includes a 24V AC coil that requires a 24 Volt AC power supply.

This model features a female NPT inlet and outlet port that can be installed using your own male fittings. The internal components are brass, stainless and Viton. The Viton seal is a good choice because it works across various medias and chemicals. This seal can handle temperatures from 15°F to 250°F.

This valve is gravity capable meaning it requires no differential pressure to operate. The valve will work with a minimum of 0 PSI up to a maximum of 145 PSI. The orifice in this valve is 40mm. The valves flow rate can be calculated using the Cv value of 29. This means the valve will flow approximate 220 GPM at 60 PSI.

The IP54 coil has no polarity making power and ground interchangeable. There is an arrow indicating the direction of flow on the brass valve body. Installed with the coil up is the preferred method however the valve will operate in any position. A pre-filter should be installed to prevent debris from obstructing the orifice which would cause the valve to leak.

*Consult a chemical compatibility expert for correct seal and valve body material choice.
