Product Overview

9 to 24V AC/DC (auto detects voltage)

Unlike conventional solenoid valves, these electric ball valves allow full flow without restriction, do not cause water hammer (opens/closes in 4-5 seconds), and are bi-directional (media may flow in either direction through the valve). Three wires are used to power the actuator. The Red wire connects to positive (hot) while the Black wire connects to negative (neutral). The Green wire also connects to positive (hot) but with an inline switch/relay/controller. When both the Green and Red wires are energized, the valve proceeds to open. When only the Red Wire is energized (with Green wire de-energized), the valve proceeds to close.

The actuator is rated NEMA 4, IP67, meaning it can be used outdoors. Caution should be exercised during extreme weather conditions to avoid damaging the valve. The electric ball valve body itself is 304 stainless steel, while the internal diaphragm is EPDM. The ball is stainless steel while the ball seat is PTFE, making this a great valve to be used with many chemicals along with potable water. The actuator should preferably be installed upwards, especially when high degrees of vibrations are anticipated. A position indicator is also located at the top of the actuator.
