Product Overview
The BZW-20K-24VAC is a 3/4" 24V AC normally open brass solenoid valve designed to control water, air, fuel, and other compatible media in automated fluid systems. This 2-way valve stays open when power is off and closes when 24V AC is applied.
The valve features a brass body, stainless steel internal components, a Viton® diaphragm, and 3/4" female NPT ports. Its 20 mm orifice and Cv of 7.6 provide approximately 58 GPM of water flow at 60 psi. It operates at 0 to a maximum of 90 psi, with a media temperature range of 15°F to 250°F. The 24V AC coil draws 19 VA / 0.80 Amp, uses a DIN 43650B connection, and responds in less than one second. The valve requires no minimum differential pressure and is rated for 100% duty at its rated ambient temperature.
Common Applications
It is suited to applications where flow needs to continue without power, such as:
- Cooling-water circulation
- Bypass and recirculation lines

Installation
- When installing, follow the flow-direction arrow on the valve body.
- Mount the valve vertically or horizontally, but not upside down with the coil underneath.
- Use a correctly rated 24V AC supply.
- We recommend an inline pre-filter to help prevent debris from interfering with operation. Confirm media compatibility, pressure, temperature, and flow requirements before installation.
