Product Overview

If your looking to control the direction of flow this 3/4" brass electric actuated ball valve might fit the bill. It is connected by way of 3/4" NPT ports with an "L" type of configuration to switch positions. The valves body is cast from brass, the valves ball is 316 Stainless steel, the seal is Viton and the ball seat is PTFE. This combination makes this 3 way ball valve compatible with a wide array of chemicals. The valve does include a XR33, 3 wire actuator. This style actuator uses a constant power and ground while a third green wire is used for the control switch. The actuator does not generate heat which makes it superior to a solenoid valve because it will not burn out from long term usage.

This specific valve has a NEMA 4 housing and can be installed outdoors or other wet environments. Compared to a solenoid valve a ball valve has a much slower response time. The valve uses a mechanical ball with an orifice to change position. For this ball valve to change position it typically takes about 5 seconds, eliminating any water hammer. Another feature of motorized ball valves is the ability to run flow in any direction.
