Product Overview
The SZW-40-24VDC is a 1-1/2” inch 2 Way Solenoid Valve with a Stainless Steel body and 24 Volt DC Coil. This valve uses a Viton seal that is compatible with a variety of media types and temperatures ranging from 15°F up to 250°F. This valve is food grade and can be used for potable water and other food processing systems.
The SZW-40-24VDC has both female NPT inlet and outlet ports. It is normally closed and will only open when power is applied to the coil. This valve does not require any pressure to open and works well in gravity feed applications. It is rated to operate up to 90 PSI. The orifice is 40mm allowing for a high flow rate. The actual flow rate can be calculated using the valve Cv of 29.
The valves 24 Volt DC coil requires 40 watts or 1.75 Amps from a DC power source to operate. It is rated for 100% duty cycle but should not be power indefinitely. The coil includes 5.5” lead wires for easy connection. The coil protection class is equal to a NEMA 3 or IP54 and suitable for outdoor use.
The seal included is Viton which makes the valve compatible with a wide range of media types and chemicals. Some examples of suitable media are air, water, gas, diesel fuel, glycol and weak acids.
When using a solenoid valve an inline filter is always recommended to keep the valve from not sealing properly.
