Product Overview
The SZW-15-24VAC is a 24 Volt AC, 2-way, 1/2" Stainless Steel electric solenoid valve that can be used for liquid, water, gas, and air in a variety of different applications. This is a 2-way valve, which means the valve will stay closed until power is applied, holding the position until the power state is changed. This valve features a Viton seal, which is capable of handling media temperatures as high as 250°F and as low as 15°F. This compact valve is constructed of solid stainless steel with a threaded female NPT port.
The SZW-15-24VAC stainless steel solenoid valve is fitted with a 19 VA AC coil. This AC coil requires AC power. The coil is fitted with two lead wires that can be connected with your choice of terminal connectors or directly soldered. The coil is rated for a 100% duty cycle but not indefinitely.
The valve has a 15 mm orifice, and the flow rate can be calculated using the valve's Cv of 3.5.
Applications
This is a great general-purpose valve that can be used for a variety of different applications where media automation is required.
Installation
- Connection – No Polarity; positive (+) and negative (–) can be interchanged.
- There is a directional arrow on the body that indicates the direction of flow.
- A pre-filter is always recommended to keep the diaphragm free from debris and the valve functioning properly.
