Product Overview

This is a normally open, 1-1/2” 110V AC stainless steel solenoid valve. Normally open means that the valve is in the open configuration without power and in the closed configuration while being powered. The valve body is composed of 304 stainless steel and the internal components are 316 stainless steel. The response time for this valve is fast, actually less than a second. The valve has a NEMA 3, IP54 rating, meaning the valve has limited protection against dust ingress as well splash water from any direction. While the valve is splash resistant, it is not submersible.

The valve is 5lb 7oz with a length of 4.50” from port to port, a width of 3.25” and a height of 7.00”. This valve requires 40 Watts of power and a current of 0.50 amps. The temperature range is between 15 to 250°F or -10 to 120°C. The pressure range is from 0 to 90 psi. Since there is no minimum pressure, the valve is a great option for gravity feed projects.

The valve comes with a pre-wired 43560a DIN connector which allows for easy wiring. Since the wires have no polarity, they are interchangeable. This valve is unidirectional, meaning media should only flow in one direction without backpressure. A filter is always recommended to be put in line before the valve to prevent any debris from building up inside the orifice.

This valve is commonly used for Plumbing, HVAC, Hydroponics, Solar Heating, Beer Brewing and Irrigation. Various media are compatible with this valve, including hot water, gas, air, diesel fuel, Freon, weak acids and weak bases. Fluids should have a viscosity below 20 cSt.
