Product Overview
Featured here is a 1-1/2" Normally Open 24 Volt Ac Solenoid Valve. This particular valve is a two-way, semi-direct diaphragm valve with a normally open operating position. This means that the valve remains in the open position allowing flow, once power is supplied the valve will quickly switch into the closed position preventing flow. The valve is uni-directional and will only control flow in a single direction. The valve is perfect for an automation project requiring the control of media. This large port valve has a 40mm orifice which allows a substantial amount of flow over similar valves. It's suitable pressure range is from 0 to 90 PSI making it great when a gravity flow valve is needed in a little or no pressure system. This valve is recommended to work within an ambient temperature range between 15 to 250°F or -10 to 120°C
The solenoids valve body is molded from 304 stainless steel which is lead free and food grade. The diaphragm used to seal the valve is composed of FKM or Viton. The internal components are stainless steel. This valves combination of body and internal components make it suitable for a wide range of chemicals and gases including but not limited to air, water, gasoline, diesel fuel, weak acids, glycol as well as many more.
The solenoid coil is included and can be wired via the valves 3 prong DIN connector. The DIN connector is pre-wired and has no polarity so installation can be done quickly. The valve will require 1.75 amps from a 24 volt ac power source. The coil shielded coil is splash resistant with a NEMA 3 equivalent. It should never be installed in a wet location. Installation with the coil facing in the up position is preferred.
