Featured here is Model 2W-160-15 of our brass valve line. This particular valve is a two-way, semi-direct lift valve with a normally closed operating position. This means that there are two ports in which media flows, the valve will open when the coil is energized and allow media to pass through. Removing the energy from the valve coil will close it and stop the flow. It works across various media such as hot water, air, gas, diesel fuel, Freon, weak acids and weak alkali. The valve features a heavy duty, solid brass body that’s sure to last in the most strenuous projects.
The port size is 1/2” inch female NPT threaded. This Electric Solenoid Valve can handle low viscosity fluids below 20 cst. The orifice size is 16mm and Cv value is 4.8. It can withstand pressure up to 145 psi (10 bar) and temperatures as low as 15°F and as high as 250°F. The seal material is VITON Rubber.
This specific valve has a 110 Volt AC coil with a voltage range that is -+ 10. The coil head is fitted with a 5’’ wire lead that can easily be connected with your own choice of terminals. The top of the coil features a label that indicates the valve type and specifications. Its response time is very low; in fact, it acts in less than one second, making it a great choice for all types of applications.
Customers commonly use the 2W-160-15 Valve for Irrigation, Fountains, Water Filtration, Solar Heating, Aquariums, Automotive, Beer Brewing, Hydroponics, HVAC, and Plumbing and everywhere else one of our valves can be applied.
This model is mountable in any position and features a conveniently positioned arrow on the body to indication the direction of flow.

Purchased this valve to intercept the flow to my hose spigots after converting both spigots to crawl-space mounted hose reels. While introducing some points of failure in the crawl-space with the hose reels and fittings, I decided I wanted the water to the hoses to be off unless I was using them. So with this valve and cheap 1-hour timer in the garage, I now control when my spigots have water and it turns itself off after 1-hour. Pretty cool house mod enabled by this product!
works good so far
I am using it on my pizza oven to activate it through the internet. It does the job, looks very good , and has an excellent price. I need more time to test it. So far it saves me to come two hours before to start the oven.
used this solenoid to shut water on and off in an apple washing conveyor. The conveyor has an automatic shut off system so the system turns on and off frequently. This works great, water is now off when not needed instead of running continually. Plenty of flow and works instantly
I got a normally open and a normally closed valve. when I energize the valves, the glycol flows through the rock pile and heats the floor in my home. When I de-energize, the glycol just circulates in the slab.
Works greatt. My wife has trouble shuting an turning on water valves,,now all she dies is flip a swtch...
I applied this to control high vacuum. There was some question if it would work and if it would be fast. So far, the response is near instantaneous and the shutoff of solid and quick. In my application there is the likelihood of contaminants getting in the vacuum stream. These contaminants will be gaseous and viscous so we will see how these stand up.
The price is much lower than valves with similar CV and the competing valves get into trouble with the viscous gasses and require lots of maintenance.
I will respond as these get some hours on them.
I'm using this to supply water to a manifold with four timers. This will stop the water after the timers complete their cycles. Just insurance if a timer would fail.
I used this solenoid valve to stop a small leak in my garage air hose real that I only use now and then for air. I mounted next to the compressor manual shut off in the back of my garage, now I just flip a switch next to my bench when I need air, no more hassle with the small leak causing my 60 gallon air compressor to run for ten minutes in order to have compressed air. Works perfectly.
