1/2" 110V AC Stainless Electric Solenoid Valve
Technical Details
Product Overview
The SZW-15-110VAC is a 110 Volt AC, 2 way, 1/2" Stainless Steel electric solenoid valve that can be used for liquid, water, gas and air in a variety of different applications. This is a 2 way, normally closed valve. This means the valve is in the closed position until power is applied and will close again when power is removed. The valve has a female NPT input and output port with a directional arrow for easy installation. This valve requires 110V AC power and has a voltage tolerance of 10% making it ideal for typically residential 120V AC applications.
The SZW-15-110AC stainless steel solenoid valve is one of our most popular because it can be connected directly to more residential power. The valves coil is fitted with two lead wires that can be connected to the power source with your choice of terminal connectors or directly soldered. This valve is mountable in any position but preferred with the coil up.
This specific valve uses a Viton seal which is capable of handling media temperatures as low as 15°F and up to 250°F. The stainless steel body and seal combination can handle a variety of harsh liquids such as gasoline, diesel fuel and weak acids. This option is also food grade and ideal for potable water.
*Duty Cycle – Like most solenoid valves the coil will become hot to the touch when left on continuously. The temperature will stabilize without failure. Leaving the valve powered on for long periods of time will reduce the life of the coil. Whenever possible the valve should be installed in a well ventilated area to increase the life of the coil. The valve is not intended to be left energized as a fail-safe for power outages. In this case please contact us for other options.
The valve has a 15mm orifice and the flow rate can be calculated using the valves Cv of 4.8. There is a directional arrow on the body that indicates the direction of flow.
Connection – No Polarity, + and – can be interchanged.
A pre-filter is always recommended to keep the diaphragm free from debris and the valve functioning properly.
*Consult a chemical compatibility expert for correct seal and valve body material choice.
