The PSL-25K line of 1” PA66 Engineered Plastic Normally Open Electric Solenoid Valve is an extremely versatile. Manufactured from PA66 Engineered Plastic or “Nylon” this valve is completely lead free. The wetted components in this valve are the PA66 body, EPDM seal and Stainless Steel components allowing it to withstand a wider range of temperatures than NBR or Viton and all materials offers outstanding resistance to dilute acids, ketones, and alkalis. This valve is commonly used for potable water and food grade applications but the rigidity, stability and chemical resistance of its components make it a great option for many fluids and inert gases at a wide range of temperatures and pressures.
This Normally Open Solenoid Valve is available in 5 different common coil voltage options, 12VDC, 24VDC, 24VAC, 110VAC and 220VAC. The term normally open refers to the valves position without power, this valve will be open without power and close when power is applied to the coil.The coils have an H Class Insulation Rating and a IP65 or NEMA 4 waterproof level making it great for indoor or outdoor use and have a DIN Connector allowing installers to run their own wires in to the screw-down terminals inside the connector. The 510 series coil is a step-up in strength from the smaller valve sizes allowing this valve to snap closed instantaneously (under one second) and while maintaining a pressure rating of 0 to 90 PSI. This valve has a 25mm orifice and zero-pressure differential requirements, with a flow rating of 12Cv this is an ideal choice for gravity feed applications.
Like most solenoid valves the PSL-25K is uni-directional, meaning this valve will only function properly with media flowing from inlet to out let.Both ports are 1” Female NPT threaded making installation easy. The direction of flow is indicated by an arrow on the bottom of the valve body. This valve is not intended to be used as a check valve or back-flow prevention, if the application has back-flow present an inline check valve is recommended to protect the valve and allow it to open and close properly.
A pre-filter is recommended to keep the diaphragm free from debris and the valve functioning properly.
