The PSL-20K is 2 way, 3/4” Engineered Nylon Plastic (PA66) Normally Open electric solenoid valve. The engineered nylon plastic, PA66, has high mechanical strength, rigidity and good stability under heat and chemical resistance. This valve is an affordable and dependable choice to control water, air, gas and fuel. It is a normally open, 2 way valve meaning it will remain in its open position allowing media to pass through until power is applied, when power is supplied the valve will close instantaneously.This valve is made using high strength, PA 66, Engineered Nylon Plastic, making it completely lead free and an ideal choice for potable water and food grade applications. PA66 provides strength, rigidity and stability against a wide temperature range. This valve is rated for 23-176°F. PA66 also has great chemical resistance which enables it to be used with a wide range of media. This valve feature a EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) seal which offers outstanding tear and abrasion resistance as well as good resistance to dilute acids, ketones and alkalis.
This is a zero-differential valve with a 20mm orifice and the flow rate can be calculated using the valves Cv of 7.6 (Appx 58 GPM @ 60 PSI). This valve can be mounted in any position, however it is uni-directional so the flow must be in the direction indicted by the arrow imprinted on the underside of the valve. This valve cannot prevent back-pressure, in applications where back-pressure may be present a check valve is recommended to protect the valve. A pre-filter is always recommended to keep the diaphragm free from debris and the valve functioning properly.
The PSL-20 comes in multiple voltage configurations. Choose from 12V DC, 24V DC, 24V AC and 110V AC Coils with DIN 43650A connection type and a H Class – IP 65 – NEMA 4 enclosure rating. These coils allow the valve to open and close almost instantly, with a response time of under 1 second making the valve reliable and accurate. The coils are non-polarized making wiring this valve effortless as either lead can connect to “postive” or “hot” with the other going to “negative” or “nuetral”, only AC coils will require a ground wire.
