Product Overview
Our PSL-15K line of Engineered Nylon Plastic electric solenoid valves are 1/2” semi-direct lift valves operating from a normally open position. Normally open valves stop the flow of media between the valve ports when power is applied; when power is removed, the valve will spring back open and allow media to pass through. This valve is a unidirectional two-way valve, which means it has two ports: one in which the media flows into the valve and the second where the media exits the valve.
This valve has a 1/2” female NPT threaded port. It can handle media with a CST of 20 or below and has a flow rate of 4.8 Cv (Appx 36 GPM @ 60 PSI). The EPDM allows this valve to handle a wider temperature range than NBR or Viton seals, boasting a temperature range of 15°F to 175°F and a pressure range of 0-90 psi.
The PSL-15K comes in 6 voltages: 12V DC, 24V DC, 24V AC, 110V AC, and 220V AC Coils with DIN 43650A connection type and an IP65 enclosure rating, making it weather-tight and good for either indoor or outdoor use, providing a degree of protection against falling dirt, rain, sleet, snow, windblown dust, splashing water, and hose-directed water. These coils allow the valve to open and close almost instantly, with a response time of under 1 second, making the valve reliable and accurate.
Common Applications
- The valve body is molded from PA 66, Engineered Nylon Plastic, making it completely lead-free and an ideal choice for controlling potable water or food-grade applications.
Installation
- For easy installation, the valve is conveniently labeled with an arrow to indicate the direction of flow.
- A pre-filter is always recommended to keep the diaphragm free from debris and the valve functioning properly.

Wiring Instructions
- Loosen and remove the Phillips-head screw securing the DIN connector to the coil.
- Detach the DIN connector from the coil.
- Open the DIN connector housing by prying at the small slot located in the bottom corner next to the Earth terminal.
- Inside the housing, locate the screw terminals:
- Terminal 1: Connect the hot or positive wire.
- Terminal 2: Connect the neutral or negative wire.
- Earth Terminal (for AC voltages only): Connect the ground or Earth wire.
- Ensure all screw terminals are securely tightened for a reliable connection.
- Reassemble the DIN connector by reversing the steps above.
